The Tree House

Built in New Hope, Pennsylvania, this custom elevated treehouse was created as a whimsical woodland play space where children can climb, explore, and connect with nature. The octagonal structure rests on black locust pilings and is crowned with a steeply pitched shingled roof topped by a decorative finial. The exterior combines vertical plank siding with hand-laid shakes and features a solid paneled door with a custom-built, moving-eye “peep hole”. A rugged staircase fashioned from salvaged black locust fence posts provides access to a compact deck above the forest floor.
